Who is Mickey?

Mickey (McKenna) is a dressage trainer who works out of a private facility in Eagle Mountain, Utah.

She currently trains under Bethany Wilhelmsen, and has previously trained outside of Utah with Marion O’Connor, Gail Redinger, Jessica Wisdom, and Jeremy Steinberg. She earned her USDF Bronze Medal in 2014.

Mickey specializes in starting young horses, and restarting troubled horses. She appreciates the individual and continuously attempts to build her program around each horse she with which she works.

Although she has experience in breeding and starting international quality dressage horses under Marion O’Connor, she doesn’t favor any specific breed. Instead, Mickey looks for the talent that each individual horse has to offer.

Mickey began working with Dust Devil Ranch in 2015 training and riding horses to prepare them to begin the adoption process.
