Why Your Help is Needed

The horses that come to Dust Devil Ranch are abused, neglected, abandoned, injured or unrideable.

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), animal control and law enforcement agencies depend on us to take these horses in when they must be relinquished or seized.
We also network with other rescues that need assistance.

We provide food, shelter, complete veterinary and farrier care, rehabilitation and training so that these horses may be adopted. In some cases, the health and condition of a horse is such that adoption isn’t possible. In this circumstance, these horses remain in our care for the remainder of their lives.

Who We are

Dust Devil Ranch Sanctuary for Horses is a 501(c)(3) registered nonprofit organization that operates a sanctuary for homeless horses that have been neglected, abused and abandoned. We provide care, rehabilitation, training, adoption and educational programs.

How We Keep Our Doors Open

Through the generosity of donors, sponsors, adoption fees, grants and fundraising events. 100% of the funds we receive go to the shelter, care, maintenance, medical and administrative costs associated with the sanctuary. Board members do not receive compensation and currently we do not have any paid staff or personnel.

Rules, Guidelines and Recommendations

So that everyone has a clear understanding of this online auction, we have outlined some important areas below. Please review carefully.

Pricing

SETTING A RESERVE PRICE

A reserve price is the lowest price at which you are willing to sell your item. If you don’t want to sell your item for less than a certain amount, you need to set a reserve price or starting price.
An example of where to set the reserve price might be at 80% of the retail value. The reserve price will not be shown to the bidder.

SETTING A MINIMUM BID

A minimum bid is the starting point in the bidding in the auction. A low minimum bid psychologically stimulates bidding. In this case, the minimum bid might start at 40% of current retail price.

Setting a reserve price or a minimum bid is the responsibility of the artist and/or donor.

After you have donated an item(s) to DDRSFH to be placed the online auction, it may not be privately sold outside the auction. Also, you may not use information received about bidders to contact them about buying or selling the donated item outside the auction.

We ask that you honor this policy. Remember… besides being a platform for your art or craft to receive worldwide recognition, it is also a charitable auction to benefit Dust Devil Ranch Sanctuary for Horses.
